Clown loach with red left side gill.

im unsure about this as it could be gill flukes?
can this happen on 1 side of the fish?
my other fish in the tank seem fine

apart from this loach i havent seen him scratching on the side of my rocks
but then ive just noticed this.

any ideas or can loach's have red pigments on the side?

he had lost his gill completly is anyone iswondering

What do you mean he lost his gill? Did his entire gill flap come off?

yes completely came off i dont know how or when.
but there was a very flame red colour to his left gill i took him down my local fish
shop and the chap there confirmed that his gill was completely removeved

I think they can servive with losing a gill plate, did he test for gill parsites, add some melafix to keep if from getting infected, also what are your water stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph.
