Clown Loach With Amano Shrimp

Daft question, but Im guessing they will eat any sort of shrimp not just amano?

I bought some tiny ones, (just under an inch in size) at the weekend and have cherry shrimp in my tank!!

yes, once the clowns get to a size where they can fit them in their mouth they'll have a pop at any shrimp

Got a bamboo shrimp at the weekend too but Im guessing at a good 2-3 inch's in size they'll struggle to gobble that one down!! at the moment any how.

You could also purchase an Armoured Fan-shrimp, A.K.A - Atya gabonensis - African Giant Fan-shrimp, it grows a good six inch. ;)

as said yes if the shrimp are small and the clowns big, although we had 5 amanos in our tank for nearly 5 years with 2 largish yoyo loaches with no problems, the loaches never looked at them with any sort of 'glint' in their eye!! i even watched a shrimp walk right up to our biggest ( around 5 inch yoyo ) & snatch a catfish tablet right from under the yoyo's whiskers. - left a very baffled looking loach ( or maybe it was embarrasment!!) our shrimp were about 1 & a half inches in size and our tank is heavily planted so they had loads of hiding places.

I have one nice sized ghost shrimp and 2 wood shrimp with 3 Clowns and they haven't touched them so far. The Clowns are about 4" in size too.
