Hey guys one on my clown loaches like to hide under one of my decratives. It only has like a half inche opening. The place that he goes under has very little tight and he lays on his side. My question is it someting to be worried about? Also is it that he is stressed and hides or do I have the lights on to long?

sounds to me like thats just his territory. when the loach comes out does it act fine?

Clown Loaches usually sleep or rest on their sides. I know when I had Clowns, they used to do this ALL the time, and it freaked me out! Especially the first time.

However, if he acts differently when he is out and about, or he does this all the time, and doesn't eat, it may be something to worry about. Does he just do this occasionally? Any signs of disease?

No after he comes out from under his spot he is acting fine and is zipping all over the tank. Nothing like a he is sick. I think you are right FishFreaks, it might be his territory. But maybe its his ressting place, I don't know really but know after what you guys said I think he will be fine. Thanks for that help FishFreaks and Annastasia. Greatly appreciated.
