I was wondering if Clown Loaches were invertebrates. This may sound like a stupid question, but I wanted to know because I wasn't able to find it anywhere.

hi NINJABOY12 ,
invertebrates means to have no back bone like shrimps crabs ect,
as clown loches are fish and have a back bone they are not invertebrates.

The closest any fish get to no backbone are the sharks rays and chimera and that's because they're cartilaginous fish, not true bone fish and the more primitive fish with notocords like hagfish, but none of them are in the aquarium trade.

Sharks may not have bones but I wouln't go so far as to say they're anything close to invertebrates! :#
