Clown Loach Love The New Koralia 8.

Great photo!

... It is a bit like "spot the ball" competitions, trying to work out where this behemoth powerhead is, as there are different fish facing different ways!:fun:

Thanks

Ah well the mag 8 is to the left just above the golden barbs but there is also a smaller one at low level to the right pointing up which is what the congo's are facing into.

great photo - i would love to keep clown loach - only they grow far too big for my 90litre tank - can u get 'dwarf' ones ?

No not clowns. but if you look at the top left of photo you can see a botia sidthimunki. same family and nice little fish.

Great piccy mate, love your setup. Thats one big circulation pump, does it make much noise? Can i ask what your substrate is?

No noise at all, as long its pointing down and to the front glass otherwise it disturbs the surface to much. I do however switch it off (by timer) at lights out to give the fish a rest, lol.
The substrate is tescos kitty litter.

there is also a 5200 and a 4500 koralia + two power heads in there and I'm still struggling with b****y bba. BUT I will not be beaten.

Lovely looking clowns there, very healthy.

I would recommend Botia Striata, similar behaviour to clowns but 1/10 of the size fully grown

Wait....Did you say your substrate is kitty litter..... :fun:

Is that for the 'Catfish'? lmao :shout:

Hehe,

They are some nice Clowns you got there nice and plump... :good:

Finally some good looking clowns! :good:

I'm so tired of seeing clown loaches kept in a tank way too small (should be at least 500 liters, the bigger the better).

My clowns also like the strong water movement, so I have two Eheim 2256:s and a gigantic filter box on the outside (sorry, don't know the actual word for a filter you keep outside the tank in english...) which is from Eheim Professional 3-series, can't remember the number though. So, I have three different, huge filters in my 612-liter tank to keep it flowing and the water clean, because I also have huge plecos (such as L -001 and LDA-33) and big cichlids too, and they make a lot of waste.

Clown loaches have always been my favourites, and I have 6 of them at the moment. Should get few more though, since 6 is the very minimum for a pack...
