Hi
Cant understand what my clown loach are doing.
i have two in my tank and do not know the sexes of the fish. Sometimes their black stripes will fade to a grey colour and their skin goes a dark bronzy colour with their dorsal fins erect. they then charge around each other colliding into each other.
Didnt know if they were breeding or fighting or what??
Any ideas
Thanks
Jamie

Hi - dont worry this is normal, it is usually a sign of aggression. I have 4 large ones and see this often. The other traits are that they pretend to die and suddenly fall to one side so dont worry if they do that.

I agree with Binary. Mine do the same thing, they will fight a bit until one becomes the alpha fish. Just two? You might know this, but they like to have friends and are a lot more fun to watch in groups. I got six.

They are fighting and they will continue to fight. You may want to consider getting a few more (provided you have the capacity) as one will go on to be the alpha & the other may well suffer because of it. The more you have the more spread out the aggresion will be and you will also see more of their funny side.
