hi i just brought some clown loaches
can anyone suggest a good way to look after them

i have 4 large clown loaches, they do well by themselves and require very little from me - apart from ensuring the spec for the tank is normal - temp/ph etc

clown loaches love to dig and nosy around, i rarely see mine eating, apart from when they get the odd prawn that drifts down to the bottom.

also, do be alarmed if you see them role onto their sides, this is perfectly normal, and often give ppl the impression something is wrong.

I love clowns they are one of my favorite fish,
I had 3 in a 180ltr tank but felt it was to small so invested in a 260ltr, ive had them 2 yrs now and the biggest is about 5inch, They like to be in groups 3 minimum. :good:

no fish needs light (well they need a little for vitamin D) but lighting doesnt really matter, although they may like a bit of cover.

just make sure you have somewhere for them to go once they get past the 6"mark

you cant keep clowns in that size tank they wil become stunted and die they should be a lot bigger than that by now
they need at least 75 gallons

please read this info from clown loach site

ALWAYS research before buying any fish :)

good luck and as truck says unless you are going to get at least a 75 gallon in the next year or so then take them back
