Hey
Ive posted this before, but now an update. My CL has whitespot for the last few weeks and recently Ive increased the dosage from half to full. Which did make a difference. His dorsal fin is back up and he seems that bit more happier. Ive created more hiding places for him. Water stats are all zero and PH has remained stable. The only thing that I can think of is that he is lonely. I dont want to add any more CLs just in case they get Whitespot, but if it helps the my CL.... All the other fish dont have it at all.

What do I do? The only thing I can see him stressing about is being on his own. Although hesreallt taking a liking to my 2 Dwarf Gouramis

Whate sized tank is it? Clowns shouldn't be kept in groups of less than 3. Mine are all still very small and in a 30g for the moment with a gourami and shark but they get along well together, swimming as a loose trio all the time.

hes in a 22 UK Gallon at the moment and hes tiny. Moving to a bigger tank in the not too distant future. If I add another 2 CLs will it help or make matters worse because there is no sign of this whitespot clearing

There aren't anything you can do at this very moment because ur loach hasn't recover from ich the more you add the more ich you got. Rather let it settle and wait till his white spot is clear first before adding any more loaches. I wouldn't add any loaches until he fully recover from ich for like a weeks or so.

Once the ich is gone, add the others with him if he's still alive. A single clown stressed with ich might not make it though to warn you. It's a risk adding more clowns now but it would lessen the stress on the single clown but adding two more increases the odds of losing 3 instead of 1.

I've actually had a similar problem as the initial author though my clowns have friends they're in a group of 6.

Still been 3 weeks even with full dosage meds.

What's the temperature in the tank? If you raise it to around 80°F that ought to speed the process up.

I think sky is using copper treatment if I remember correctly. He doesn't want his tank get stain with those blue color.

whats meds are you using?

ich never stays more than a few days in our tanks ( we use eSHa products at the reccomended doseage (eg 'full')

Copper was starting to work but it was getting worse on one fish(cleared the rest) so I found a form of Malachite Green that says it doesn't stain silicone. I'm on day 4 of that treatment combined with aquaisol.
