Hi guys, got another nube question. So, i just got two new clown loaches. Each are about 2 inches to 3 inches. So, my question is are Hikari brand sinking algae wafers a good food to be ffeding them, if not what? weel thanks for the help.

mine seem to like that brand, but what they really enjoy is frozen bloodworm!!.
they also enjoy cucumber and can be heard to make a loud clicking noise when eating it( i presume this is good  )
nath1 :good:

mine eat those sinking catfish pellets, bloodworm, prawns and love cucumber! in fact, they'll eat practically anything lol

That'll work. Just be sure to mix it up some with other types of food.

My loaches go for frozen bloodworm, mysis, chopped cocktail shrimp, carnivore pellets, shrimp pellets and algae wafers. They'll also eat fresh fish (I scrape a little off it when I'm making it for dinner). Although I don't have clowns, botia and clown loaches are pretty similar in diet.

K, thanks guys. cant wait to try cucumber. and i do have some blood worms for my other fish.

I just checked my fridge and no cucumber  What other vegetibles/ fuit could i try to feed that would not make the fish sick? and how much of this food should i feed for the fish? the biggest one is probably ~3"

Vegetables: Zuchini, Cucumber, Spinach, Lettuce, Frozen Peas (thawed and skinned)

My clown loaches seem to eat anything I toss in the tank. Of course, there's a preference to some foods (FBW, Hikari sinking carnivore pellets and Hikari discus pellets) than others.
