I could not find an answer about what I can feed clown loaches on this board. I have three very cute clown loaches.
What are some of the things these cuties will eat? I heard I can feed them zuccinni, is that right? any special preparation, or can I just cut it up and put it in? The fish store says they dont boil it or anything and just add it.

Any other fresh veges that I can feed? what other types of preparped foods? Currently Im feeding them shrinking wafers and shrimp pellets, although the shrimp pelets tend not to sink and are hard to get a hold of since they float around...

thanks

you can feed them bottom dwller pelles, cucumber slices or chopped up meat that is at the bottom

They'll eat most meaty fishfoods (worms, small shrimps, sinking wafers/pellets). Blanch zucchini or cucumbers work (I microwave them for a couple secs to soften them, let them cool, then throw them in).

I feed mine Zucchini or cucumber stabbed on a fork, defrosted prawns, JMC catfish pellets, Hikari sinking carnivore pellets, Tubifex, frozen bloodworm, algae wafers and flake food straight from your hand

mine comes to the top to feed, he will go upside down and suck away at the flakes, needless to say he is very thin and i think he is starving, i have recently brought some sinking catfish pelets but have noticed he cant seem to eat them, must try crushing them up a little

AdAndrews, how many clowns do you have? If you have just the one you will need to get at least another 4!! Try him with Cucumber on a fork (like my two babies below) & defrosted prawns (he will love them).
