clown loach and red clawed crab

my 2 clown loaches ate the remains of a red clawed crab...

I don't know how it died but do you guys think the clown loaches killed it and ate it?

another one of my red clawed crab is missing too...

It is possible, Loaches feed on small crustaceans and Carbs are crustaceans. Clowns will devour Snails no problem, in my experience even 3" apple snails so I it may well have happened. Although I would think the Crab could defend himself with ease against a fish. How big are the crabs and how big are the Clowns?

look around your house you mite find your crab they get out all the time

too true mine did 'the great escape' the other night hed been plannin it for weeks u can tell!! had images of him doin a steve mcqueen on a little motorcycle

got round it now tho had some old shells iv wrapped them in tissues and blocked the two holes up crafty little bugger he is

I found what out what happened.

the crab was changing its shell (don't know the name of the process) and it was attacked right after since the new shells are soft. I found the devoured remain in addition to the old shell
