Clown Fish Death

One of my False Percula Clownfish jumped out of the tank and died last night! Not heard of them doing that before

Will I be able to purchase an additional one so they pair up again or will that be no good?

yup the do jump on occasions.

you should be able to intriduce a new clown and they will pair up

they do when younger so if you have say a pair and one dies say the male, if you replace with a juvenile clown the new clown will become the male fish

I think you need to get one that is considerably smaller than the one you have already, this for some reason increases the chances of ending up with a mated pair.
On the other hand if you get one of comparable size they will fight the piece out until one becomes dominate

Thanks folks. I Picked up a new Clown today (about 2/3 as large as the remaining clown). They seem to be courting so fingers crossed.
