cloudy waters?

i have had my tank up and running now for a few weeks, and have added a few fish, of which all are looking very very well indeed, no problems in that score, the only fish i have lost was 2 lemon tetra's who decided to get and investigate the filter in the dark and got caught inside, found them dead in the morning , so had to lift the filter up a shade to keep them from getting in the top bit of which there is a very small opening, the filter is an interpet bio250 combined with the heater tha goes in the filter box along with it,


as i say all fish are very very well, but my water is pretty cloudy anyone got any ideas of why this is?, or how i can get rid of it?

could be that you're filter hasen't fully matured yet
give it a while longer and it may clear
if your fish are ok i wouldn't worry too much

In all likelihood, it's a bacterial bloom which will clear up. Avoid cleaning the gravel oir the filter during this time as you do not want to kill any benficial bacteria in the tank.

Also, becuase 2 fish died in there, I'd check your ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels. You could have a small ammonia spike when fish die so a water change might be necessary in order to detoxify that.
