The water in my aquarium was a little on the cloudy side. Not too cloudy, but you could tell that it was somewhat cloudy. You can notice the cloudiness when I have the light on, and you only notice it from the side. The water looks clear from the front. Also, all of the water doesn't seem to be cloudy, just through the triangular shape of the light from the side.
I put some ACUREL F in the water, within about an hour the water cleared up. But the water got cloudy again a couple of days later.

My tank just finished cycling a few weeks ago. I've done a few water changes since then. I had 6 neons, but 3 of them died within the last week. The other fish that I have in the tank seem to be doing fine. See my signature below to see the other types of fish that I have.

Can you suggest what I might be able to do? It doesn't seem correct that I should keep adding ACUREL F to the water every other day to clear it up.

Do you have carbon in your filter? If not try it or if its older than a month replace it. If that doesnt help then chances are where its a fairly new tank it could be a bacterial bloom. These are not uncommon even after a tank cycles as the tank then stabilizes and you can get several of these small blooms. HTH :)

I've got a Whisper 60. It has 2 biobags. I believe that they contain carbon. They are older than a month.
Now, to change them, I should first rinse them with some of my tank water, before installing them, yes?

I have had similar problems and found that by putting some 'filter floss' into my filter (really fine cotton wool stuff) it cleared alot of the cloud up. If it is, as tstenback suggests, a bacterial bloom then normal filter media is sometimes too coarse to trap the fine particles.

Yes, thats right. Change only one though as your bacteria may be impacted if you change out both. also do these come with just carbon in them as that would likely be more effective. :)
