The tank has been set up for a week now, and I did have my first ammonia spike the other day.. I cleaned half the gravel, only to not disturb the cycle too badly. I don't know how well I cleaned, but I could use some tips on how to clean..
By the way the LFS guy told me that it could be an alkalinity problem, and my alkalinity is low, so after a few days it should go away, and it already has started to.
When you did the water change you may have disturbed the gravel a bit and that can sometimes give of coloured chemicals making the water appear 'cloudy'. It isnt toxic to fish and should go away in a day or two.
