I have an aquarium of 135 litres capacity. I first filled it with water 3 weeks ago
and i did a fishless cycle for two weeks. the filter is biological. A week ago i put 12 cardinal tetras two angelfish, 4 platies, and an algea eater. The problem is that since day 1 the water of the aquarium has been very cloudy and has remained that way ever since. Of course i put inside STRESS COAT and STRESS ZYME but due to an error made by the LFS i put smaller doses that necessary. and another problem is that a day after i first filled it i had to empty it because the aquarium had to be moved. then i filled it again putting again the two liquids mentioned above. what can i do about the cloudy water? i also observe that a lot of the fish excrement is flowing in the water.
Another question: one of my platies started hiding inside a ship wreckage and is only coming out to feed. I m not sure if its a female, but does that mean its pregnant and is going to give birth soon?

Welcome to the forum, wertyu5555! May I suggest posting your questions in the Beginners area (if you haven't already). You will probably get more help there. :)

Hi wertyu5555 :)

Welcome to the forum! :hi:

I'll move your thread to the beginners forum so you will get the answers you need.

Everyone seems to be ignoring you now. I would check my filter media, and using air, increase the water circulation. Try that...

Hi and welcome

i guess its time someone asked you the most popular question on the forum....What are your water parameters? You said you did a fishless cycle for 2 weeks...could you explain what you did during those two weeks. Just so we know the process that was followed. It will give us more info on which to base our diagnosis of your situation.
If the tank has been cloudy since day 1, I would have to ask did you thoroughly clean the gravel? If you did not then you will have this cloudiness for a long time unless you remove the fish and clean it again. If you meant that the tank has been cloudy since the first day you added the fish then you may be dealing with a bacteria bloom. In which case your tank is cycling and the cloudiness will go away either by itself or with water changes. The platy hiding is very odd they are outgoing in your face all the time fish. Without your parameters i cannot do anything but guess. My guess is either your tank is cycling and you have high ammonia or high nitrite readings, in which case you must do water changes to get these down preferably below 1 ppm. Or something is picking on this fish and it hides to get away. keep us posted HTH
