I set up a new tank in february this year, 200 litre tank with fluval 205 external filter. Everything was fine till two weeks ago when the water got slightly cloudy and than started to turn green and within days became so dirty that I could not see anything in there. Checked the filter and everything was fine. Cleaned the filter, did a major water change, like 90% and after a few days the water was back cloudy and green. last weekend did another major water change and the water is now again beocming cloudy and green. I have checked the water and nitrite, nitrate and other indicators are normal, I have not lost a fish throughout this saga. Short of cleaning the tank fully I cannot understand what is going on, why it is behaving like this. I had a 90 litre tank before and never had such problem. I am not overfeeding, nor is food rotting at the bottom.
