Cloudy Water

Hello

for some reason my water in my tank has become slightly cloudy. the only change that has happened is that i have stopped using the external filter... is there anyway i can reduce the cloudyness..

i have started to use a protein skimmer since i removed the external filter..

increase surface ajitation

thats been increased by the proteim skimmer. the intake and outtake are at the surface as its doing a good job of taking crap out.

but the water has become cloudy. im thinking its to do with the external not on the tank any more..

also do hermits molt there shells

Suppose it's a bacterial blume? If you want to you could throw the filter back on and run carbon for a lil bit. It's supposed to polish the water really good.

oh ya and a bad thing about bacterial blumes is they use oxygen so can deplete it in the water. Do make sure there's lots of surface agitation.
