Cloudy water

I've had my tank for about a month now and have a few freshwater fish. The only problem is that the water isn't as clear as I would like it. Is it because of the air stone I have??? I've tried chemicals, cleaning the tank numerous times but it only seems to work for a short period of time. If anyone has advice...I'll take it.

Could you tell me the type of filter you are using, and the size of your tank you have.
I can't see the airstone being the problem unless it's got something to do with your filtration :hmm:

I have just a regular carbon filter.

Sorry I'm not sure what you have.
Is it just plain box filter?? and is your only media carbon?Is it air driven or prepeller??
