Recently the water in my bettas tank has gone really cloudy and I have no idea why. Ever since i noticed it he has been really inactive and just kind of lays there and then swims to another spot to lay there. Is he bored? I am really worried for him. Do you know what it might be?

Your betta's fins looked clamped and he also looks a little bloated. What do you feed him? What are your water parameters? Do you use a filter?
As for the cloudy water, you should do a 30-50% water change, and a gravel clean. The gravel looks noticeably dirty and that can cause the slightly cloudy water.

I had noticed him clamping his fins but when i woke up this morning the water was quite a bit less cloudy and he was starting to act a little more like his old self. I do use a filter and feed him a few pellets and occasionally freeze dried blood worms.

Okay that's good to hear. How often do you change the water and how much do you change?

Wait, so apparently the reason why this cloudiness is suddenly gone is because the cloudiness could have been from bacteria bloom, from bacteria that feeds on organic matter. When all of the food it can eat in the tank is gone it will die off. This time will vary with different tanks.
Just learned this from @essjay 's post on a thread that a person made who had a similar problem.

Bacteria blooms aren’t harmful at all. They are a good sign actually that your beneficial bacteria is growing well. It will go away in 5-7 days. Water changes will actually make it worse.

What are your water parameters? Is the tank heated? Something is definitely stressing your betta.

If the water goes milky cloudy it is normally caused by uneaten food rotting in the substrate. Do a 75% water change and gravel clean the substrate each at for a week and see how it looks after that.

Uneaten food or anything rotting in the gravel can cause ammonia or nitrite levels to go up and kill the fish. Water changes and filtration will help prevent this occurring.
