Cloudy Tank

My Fish Tank has been really cloudy. The water is green and u cant really see threw it. I have a filter and snail. i feed my fish twice a day and i keep a light on all day but at night i turn it off. i fed them bloodworms one day and then after that its been cloudy but i dont know if that has ne thing to do with it... how can i get rid of this problem?

Is it a new tank? Sounds like a algae bloom. This will happen during a tank cycle. Also is the tank in direct sunlight? Check your filter too. Make sure theres no room on the sides of the filter pads for the water to go. Ive had this happen to me several times over the years and it was always due to one of the above. Im sure someone else will come up with other suggestions as well.

Do read my article in my sig for some backgrounds on starting a new tank. Green water is just a symptom but it could indicate a far more major problem.
