I put an aerobic pad in my new 30/60 (double sided) filter to help clone some bacteria into my 29g aquarium. Well it has been in there about 1-2 weeks and there is 10x more bacteria on it. I also have bacteria all over the aerobic grids of the filter as well. My question is, why do I still not have nitrites or trates? I still have an ammonia reading even when I can see the bacteria. Isn't that odd? All of my tests are brand new. the ammonia one is a liquid one with tubes and droppers and stuff, and the other (trites & trates) are a dip stick one. They have always given me a reading before...

EDIT: I have the symptom of a bacteria bloom as well. Cloudy water... Its not aweful cloudy just enough to drive you nuts...
