Hey folks, haven't been on this forum much lately due to college, but thought I'd write a short topic on how to unclog your hang on back (hob) filter. If you're new to fish keeping, a lot of fish stores recommend to put a sponge, or pre filter around the intake of your filter. This is to prevent small fish and fry/shrimp from being sucked up. However, over time this slowly fills with debris and will eventually stop the flow to just a trickle. I just took one of mine off today and out came a gush of debris from the filter, so you might want to do a water change afterward. So yeah, hope I helped someone
