I just received some far North Queensland zebra shrimp today. And while I am slowly acclimatising them to my tanks I happened to be watching them as they beetled about in their temp containers.

The upshot is that they reminded me of wind up toys darting about the place

And some still shots

Dawwww! They're so tiny! Can't wait to see them once they're in their tank.

They are pretty small, but they have high impact. Real little stunners.

Nice :)

Can't wait to see pics when they are a little bigger.

More pics of my native zebra shrimp, they are beautiful little shrimp and in the tannin stained tank look stunning.

And a tiny little shrimplet

Hard to believe that they are our very own native

My thoughts ezactly. When my brother visits he always says " get some of those pretty stripy crystal red shrimp " . And I've had to try to explain to him why I can't do that. These are the perfect solution hehe.

yeah I fell in love with crystal shrimp too, but the hip pocket didn't like the expense when they keel over in our summer. Zebras are not exactly easy to keep either but hopefully as more are kept and bred in captivity they will become hardier to water different to their natural tropical rainforest streams.

Finally got a pic of one of the littlest zebra shrimp

And side on

Excellent pics of your tiny shrimps
