I've noticed the past week or so that my Clowns have been clicking more during feeding time. Sometimes getting quite loud at it. Do they do it more as they grow older or have mine just been quiet up til now?

Mine always do it at feeding time. At the minute i have two that are the same size who spend a lot of time arguing and circling each other while clicking, my other one which is about an inch longer doesn't take any notice unless they go near his pipe, they go through this phase every few months and will be best buddies again soon when they figure out whos in charge.

I have yoyo's and they arent clicking yet. Ive been listening to see if they will because that would be cool... B)

my clowns click every day, as do most of my botias.

One of my clowns has also started to pick up one piece
of gravel (same piece every time)and throws it against
the tank, just to annoy me.

we have 4 clowns, and they always click when eating cucumber, which they LOVE! we've never noticed any squabbles, or clicking when they aren't eating though. but it would make me laugh to see them throwing rocks against the glass!! :hyper:

I have had my 3 clown loaches for almost a month now and would just like to thank you all for solving the "what on earth is that clicking noise?" problem Ive been having.

I though it had been the fish knocking the thermometer against the glass but everytime Ive looked there has been no fish near it and Ive seen 2 of them chasing eachother round in circles but not actually go for each other.

I had heard they did 'click' but didnt realise they were quite so loud.

I don't have clowns, but my Botia Kubotai click whenever I feed them :)

IME most botias will click
my yoyos do as does my sergent major loaches, my polkadots and my zebras.
when I kept skunk loaches they were the loudest clickers of all.
