I had a minor ammonia spike in my tank so I have been feeding my fish very little to help the tank stabilize. I finally fed the fish today after two days of fasting. I noticed both of my dwarf gouramis had clear stringy feces with a very small amount of white in it. Is this because of the fasting? I also have small amounts of whitish hair algae in my tank that I see the gouramis eating constantly when I was fasting them. So is their feces clear/ white because of eating the algae and nothing else in there system? I can't imagine that it would be internal parasites but I guess you never know. Can someone please enlighten me?
