clear clingy stringies all over tank, not fish

I have some clear stringy slime (approx 1/16 in. in length) that grows on my plants and the glass of the aquarium. They are attached to the side of the tank; spaced evenly and not in groups. their are more every day. I have had this problem twice before and no such luck getting rid of it. I have an oscar that has tail rot and I am planing on treating that, but the slime is not existant on the fish itself, its probably something else?   If anyone knows. help. this stuff is really annoying to say the bare least.

ouch did you over fed your tank? it seems you have PLANARIA WORMS, just reduce amount of your feeding for serveral day and water changes this will starve them... also.... once they are in the tank... they are very hard to get rid of. however, they are harmless in small numbers but it would cause a threat to your tank in this case......
