Hello there. I have recently started up an aquarium with plants. I was wondering when i vac my gravel do i takethe plants out or leave them in and vac around them? The plants are all potted, not sure what that are a few different ones. I am feeding with flourish and flourish excell. Im using flourish twice a week and ecel every day, does this seem right? Thanks for your help

First off, you are better off removing the plants from the pots, the roots will be very restricted in the pots. Gently remove the wool around the roots and you can possibly split the pots into a number of bunches/seperate plants depending on what they are.

Vac around the plants, going gently until they are well rooted into the substrate.

to work out wpg use this formula
tank sixe in gallons/how many watts of lighting you have =wpg

juwel rio 180 has 180 litre so 180 is 40 gallons
then you have 2x25watt lights totalling 50 watts so you do 50 divided by 40= 1.25wpg........
