Cleaning The Glass?

I was purposely letting the glass grow furry (algae) so that the pleco could munch on it when i put it in. But its been in there for a couple of days and has had little effect. So i still clean the glass? do i stop feeding it algae tablets?


Also with the algae tablets, how many do i put in per pleco? as the pleco doesnt actually feed off of them, it just stays on the glass, and never goes near the gravel...


Its a butterfly Pleco.
