Hello all,

I've been running a cycled 10 gal (US) tank for about 6+ months now.
My setup is one Top Fin Power Filter #10 (http://tinyurl.com/5pjt2) and one Aqua Clear Power Filter #20. (http://tinyurl.com/4ppl5).

Every sunday I do a 60% water change, clean each filter of any stuff (in the old water) and clean the tank with a sponge on a stick (no alge problem but JUST in case. :D

I have a hooded light that has glass on it so the light passes thru it. I try to clean that glass as well with the sponge but as of late I have noticed that it has a lot of "white grim" on it that I CAN NOT seem to get rid of? Any suggestions on how to clean that glass?

Thanks

White vinegar. Rinse with clean water afterwards. I just use paper towels.

Tolak

The white stuff built up on the glass is hard water deposits. I agree with the cleaning solution posted above. If it is hard to get off combine the white vivegar with some scrubbing with a soft plastic scrubber like you would use for nonstick fry pans, It wont scratch the glass.

Thanks! I'm off to the supermarket to buy some white vinegar.
=)
