Hi, what is the best way to clean your tank? I'm just really starting out with a fish tank with now all tropical community fish. (I got rid off the Red Pacu) I bought a gravel vac at the pet store and it doesn't work! So please tell me the best way to clean the tank and keeping it clean. It is the one that has a long tube attached to another tube. I followed the instructions but the debris it not coming out just the water. and it makes the tank cloudy.

What do you mean it doesn't work? Is it one that's a tube attached to a long bit of narrower tubing? If it is, you have to start the syphoning action by one of several methods. First lets find out what kind of syphon it is.
