Cleaning Siphon Tubing

Hey there,

I have an old gravel siphon cleaning kit that attaches to your sink for cleaning and filling. It's probably 8-10 years old but all appears to be intact. Any ideas on how to clean it before using it? I'm thinking soaking in the tub with something...?

Or should I just buy a new one?

Depends how bad it is. I usually just use this magnetic scrapper made by a company called two little fishes.

Two Little Fishies MagFox Aquarium Tubing Cleaner

It has worked great when its not that bad. If its too bad i just dump it in a bucket with bleach that the hose can fit then rinse it off extremely well. Hope i have helped.
