Hi folks
I picked up a second hand 4ft tank yesterday and I'm trying to clean it.
The problem is, the silicone is quite dirty - it's almost like algae (obviously not because there's no water in it) and mildew.
I don't mind scrubbing etc but I'm worried I'll weaken the silicone and end up with a 4ft glass seive!
Do people have ideas on removing this without risking damage to the silicone?
I'm really excited about getting my second tank up and running so any advice and tips would be fantastic!

TIA!
