Cleaning Out Tank..found This Inside

I have a 50 L tank which is 60cmx38x30
There's no gravel or plants etc , only have 2 plastic plants and an ornament.
1 plec, 2 harlequins and a danio
I am doing a water change this morning and find something looking like a snail in there??
Shall appears to be broken
Is it a snail ? if it is how did it get in ?

Sounds like a slug you're trying to describe there......I've had them also appear as if spontaneous...dunno where they come from, don't think they're a problem, but I do not like 'em.... curls up into a little ball when you touch 'em.

Definitely not a slug

This has a hard exterior shell. The inside appears to be empty.

Can anyone tell me how to upload a pic on here ?

you can either use photobucket, easy when you know how or can be a little long winded to describe (can do if you want)
