Hi there,

Finally coming to the end of building the cupboard around my tank - its in a recess in the wall. Ive had to have the tank in place to make sure everything fits OK and now I need to clean it properly. Ive not done anything to it since I bought it and its had all sorts of stuff fall in over the past few weeks.

Whats the best thing to clean it with ? As its my first tank I dont know what I should clean it with, obviously I dont want to put anything on it that may leave a residue behind that may be harmful.

Many thanks in advance.

Not sure what kind of "stuff" you are refering to but if the tank is glass and still empty & dry. Vacuum out the larger debris, then you could clean it with a soft cotton cloth & a mix of white vinegar & water. Wring out the rag often so you dont just smear the crud around and follow with fresh water several times on a clean cloth to finish. Do not use glass cleaner as it contains alot of chemicals harmfull to fish. ;)

Generally you won't have to clean besides a quick rinse but if you want a salt solution is a safe way to go
