Cleaning My Tank

When clean my tank with the gravel houver I dont want to suck up the shrimps

How can this be avoided?

Pretty much just dodge the shrimp Thats the only way I could think of besides moving the shrimp while cleaning the tank

When I had shrimp in my tanks, they were quite brave and recognized my hand as the bringer of food. I typically avoided hoovering 'em up simply by swatting at them a couple times before letting the siphon go.

B) you could take the shrimp out.then you could clean your tank.

My shrimp always moved out of the way like my fish did. Have you tried it yet to see what their reaction will be? You may not have anything to worry about.

I have the same experience as oneponygirl; my amano shrimps get out of my way very quickly (though they do wait until the last moment).
