Hi,

I am at the stage now of needing to give my tanks gravel (about 5mm stuff) a good clean, as its getting a bit groggy and there are the off fish flakes lying down there.

So whats the easiest way to do it withouth distrurbing all my plants etc which are rooted happily now.

I also only have about an inch of gravel (more coming soon) so its tricky if I start moving things around.

Thanks Chris!

You will need a gravel vacuum. They are like this.

I use them on the smaller tanks, for the larger tanks I use a python.

Yeah gravel cleaner is the best way really for debris mixed in with the gravel

If the problem is that there is stuff stuck to the gravel then best to take out small amounts over a week or so boiling them in nothing but hot water and placing at back in, but only after it cooled (this will however kill the bacteria in your gravel )
