I previously owned a fish tank and enjoyed looking after it, however my wife and I had a baby girl and didn’t have the time for the up keep. A friend took our fish but it wasn’t until a little while later I cleaned the tank…

Long story short I didn’t clean the properly and it was full of mould and algae… I managed to jet wash the inside and got it pretty clean, I since filled it with Water to check for any leaks and thankfully its mint.

The problem I have is internal glass has some pretty bad stains which look like algae patches…. I know I cant use cleaning products, however every time I wipe them off they seem to come back… any advice?
   :-( :-( :-(

Salt also works as a mild, easily washed away abrasive, so you could try that; or lemon juice if yiu think it mught be limescale or hard water deposits.
