Cleaning A 5 Gallons Tank?

Buddies, I am planning to have a 5 gallons tank with a male Betta and some sand with plants. Since I am a starter, I wish to know how often does one need to clean a 5 gallons tank (without filtration)? Does one need to do a full change of water or only partial? Any other Do's and Don'ts would be welcomed?

No filtration? None at all?

Personally, I would definately get some kinda filter for the tank. With filter, I do a 25-33% water change for my 6 gallon betta tank about every 10 days. Without filter, I would guess you should do a 50% water change every other day.

my betta is in a filtered tank and he gets a 33% water change every 7 days

Get an AquaMini (AquaClear 20). It's good from 5 to 20 gallons.
