Cleaned my Whisper

It worked fine before I cleaned it. Now it tries to suck water and just won't come up the tube... the impellor seems to work, and everything seems in place, but won't work... any ideas would be appreciated!

Try filling it with tank water. It may just need to be primed.

Yea I did that already......

Can you raise the water level in the tank or is it already up to the top. If your level is low this should help because otherwise you're fighting gravity even more.

Ok the other one has given up the ghost. I will try a new impeller and save it for a back up, or another tank, in the meanwhile I got a new millenium for this one.

BUT NOW...... I cleaned the fairly new whisper on my 5 gallon, (beta) tank and it is making horrible air water noise down by the impeller. Never used to... Ya know how they sound at start up, then when they fill they quiet down. Thats it, but it NEVER quiets down. I have primed it, filled it higher, checked tank water level, taken it apart, checked for foreign objects, just keeps on sounding horid. Hope someone has some ideas, I am about to drop kick it out the door, as it is right by my head at the puter.
