ok so today i had the chance to get my clean-up crew, but i decided against it. The reason for this being is that i have yet to receive an algae bloom! Was this the right thing to do or could i have went ahead and bought them??
thanks

Hi there how's it going

Got my net working again - kept kicking me out last night

IMO I think you did the right thing in waiting, no point buying stock if the tank aint ready

:D :D

IMO I would give it another week and check your reading and if Fine, I'd get some in

oh well thats perfect as my parents are going away for a weeks on saturday so..... :) how long should i have my light on for my liverock?? Or shouldnt i have it on?
thanks

TBH - If I remember rightly I run mine just shorter than what I run it now, If you do light the LR any life on the rock will be more inclined to show itself but some peeps run a short light cycle (say half the normal 10 - 12 hrs) to save on leccy

:D

have you got it aquascaped to how U like it then

Oh and how the bracket looking(think that is were my computer cut out last night)

well we glued the 4 brackets on b4 we went to bed last night. We came down this morning to find they had stayed up so wes was :D so we then tried placing the light on to them and they jus collapsed under the pressure lol!!! So we have ended up hanging it from the ceiling lol!! It looks really good!! It is very bright and we dont have to turn the light on in the front room on a night any more :D Also yes i have got the rock built up quite well i think i will try and get pics and send them to you later ok? How is your new tank doing ne wayz??

good news about the lights, your neighbours will think you are growining weed or being visited by Aliens with all thay light in the living room :D :D

My New Tank hmmmm - had some real plans to get it started as soon as I arrived back from NY but seem to have run out of money, if anyone finds any lying about, I will take it off your hands,

Just bought 2 Ocean Runner Pumps off ebay (sorry If I outbid any of you guys) so at least I am starting to get the bits together

:kewlpics: :kewlpics: :kewlpics: :kewlpics: needed

oh yer that reminds me all that extra stuff i told you about me getting well the guy at the shop phoned me n said there had been a mistake lol and could he have it back so i did and he said he would look after me so hopefully i mite get cheaper corals or someting as they have loads!! I am still having a small problem with the sand moving from the back corner i cant seem to understand why as i have moved the power head and it still seems to happen :S
any ideas?

Only thing I can think of is to increase the distance between the sand and the powerhead, is the nozzle facing down towards the sand

He noticed he had given you extra parts, bugger bloddy typical eh

i think it may also have something to do with the skimmer pump as on the top of it it has PH 2000 which i presume meens it is blowing water out as a normal ph would?? If i was to place rock over the corner could that stop it??

The PH 2000 is supposed to run the skimmer in the chromis, so the only flow will be from the return from the skimmer, is this underwater?.

Sorry, have updated above post. Where is the post you are talking about? Have seen a couple of yours, but not the one about moving sand.

all it is is in the back left corner of my tank my sand keeps getting swept away as if it is being pushed. i have moved my power head twice now but it aint stopped it from moving the sand, so i dont know what is causing it? if i place some of my LR over it would that stop it from moving?
