Clam? Any Info/id?

Hey guys, was moving around the rocks in my tank and noticed a small "rock" fell off. After a few hours i noticed he opened up a little bit so im guessing hes a clam. Hes quite small, maybe just over 1cm big
Anyway heres the pic -

Anyone got an ID?

Tough to ID small bi-valves like that. There are hundreds if not thousands of different species in the Ocean. It's not photosynthetic and that's about all I can say.

fair enough. is there any special requirements for it? also, if it dies will it foul my tank? its a 12 gal btw

If anything dies in a tank that small the ammonia produced could foul the tank. Or the common phrase "nuke the tank".
