All tanks are cycled

20g is QT
it has 16 African Cichlids in it.
Been running 2-3weeks
0 AMM
0 Nitrites
20 nitrates
8.0 PH

I know its overstocked please dont yell
My fiance had to get them they were $1.99 sale
And since 85g is almost done getting set-up didnt see problem untill now...

Fisrt saw a white fungus on 1 fishes mouth
Then noticed today some of the fish have ick looking spots
Went to LFS and bought Ick Cure/Melafix
Also some other stuff that totaled 102$

preformed 25% wc, vac, ect.
Added meds, aqaurium salt, and raised temp in tank to 85
Now fish are flashing, darting through tank crazy, swimming on one side, jumping off rocks, scrapping themselves on bottom.
They are basically WORSE!!!
What shuould, could i do?

Fish in tank are mbumas
Aurautas
Kennyis
mbumas
E. Yellows ect.

PLEASE HELP!
Can i use BOTH MEDS toghether?

You can use them both together, but the melafix won't do much. I'm assuming the Ick Cure you are talking about has Malachite Green & Nitrofurazone, these are the most common ingredients. They usually suggest a 4 day treatment, I like to treat for at least 7 days with any med, and do daily water changes of 50% if possible. Water changes every other day are fine, if the med being used doesn't affect your bio filtration.

The white areas around the mouth of one fish are probably columnaris, if one fish has this & all have ick I would treat the ick first, then follow up with an antibiotic to deal with the columnaris. Just by doing the repeated large water changes you may help the columnaris.

An overstocked qt tank is a temporary situation, much the same as your lfs. Be sure to keep up on the water changes in this tank, I've done the same thing and worse several times, with daily 80% water changes. 50 some corys in a 20 long after an auction is one that comes to mind, as long as you have a plan you can get away with some temporary overstocking.

Thanks A bunch!!!
Will Do.
Ill Keep you posted.
