I went to an lfs last night and there was a pair of Jack Dempseys for sale with all theire hundreds of babies for only $30! Personally I think thats a great price for all of them, because latter when the babies are older, you can sell them back.
But my brother insited that they were livebearers and wouldnt believe me that they were egg layers. And kept asking why are the babies in with the parents. Theyll eat them. And he doesnt think that the babys will be sold as well because of being eaten, lol. Hes a hoot.
But back to the babies, they must have been a week old because last time I was there they didnt have any babies in that tank. They were so small, well actually the guppy size of my fry, but they were so detailed. It was so cool. Ive never actually seen baby cichlids before.
