Alright, so the fish I thought was my terror I guess is a Texas. This one...

This is the fish that was sold to me as a Texas... can you all help me ID it?

I don't know my cichlids at all, so I can't help you ID him, but whatever he is, he sure is pretty. Very iridescent looking.

Kind of looks like a turqoise jewel cichlid.

I know! Isn't that horrible? The texas may be my fault, because I bought a terror that day too, so I could have mixed them up. But, if this is the case...where is my green terror?

No, but now I'm a little worried, that jewels in with my NWs. Is it too nasty to put with my africans? Should I leave her put? I was so excited to have an id, it just hit me, that I mixed my cichlids. )

When I had my jewel it was very calm and peaceful but once I got him a friend they became evil and killed everything but the auratus. But I guess it all depends on the individual fish. Maybe wait it out and watch for aggression?

Actually, Jewels are African. So you can safely keep the Jewel with your Africans.
