I have a 55 gallon tank with one African Cichlid and three clown loaches and one pleco. I have put some wood and rocks to create some crevices. The cichlid had found one spot that it likes and the loaches also like.
When the loaches approach the cichlid attacks. The problem is that the loaches like the same location.

Should I take away the crevices so that they won't fight or should I add more crevices to give the loaches a chance to hide? (more crevices implies that we will never see the fish...)?

Should I add more semi aggressive fish?

thanks

IMHO
move everything in the tank arround, this will disperse any current territories and make the fish creat new ones. hopefully that will solve your problem

The more hiding places loaches have the more you will see them as they tend to come out more knowing that they have a bolt hole nearby. I have plastic plumbing pipes for them to hide in.
