Is this a normal chubby khuli loach or should I be worried? :/

Definatly lookst like it's holding eggs. Either that or it ate a cow

Check the belly. Usually gravid females will have green tint to it (this is the color of the eggs inside).

Yeah I would say her belly looks greenish, could be the reflection of the vallis she always sits in. Her poo looks healthy anyway. Never had them spawn on me before.

Big butt  Sooo cute though.

looks like there is a green tint there to me, i would say shes got eggs, good luck mate :)

I read that they lay their eggs on floating plants? I have lots of those! Oh dear. Baby khulis would just be too cute though.

other fish's food though, you might want to sepparate the khuli, with some floating plants :)

No can do really. If I see any eggs I think I'd try and raise a few in my net-over-the-tank method.

It is MUCH EASIER to have a gravid female than a spawn with kuhlis.

The problem is the males -- they don't want to participate. At the very least, make sure that you have males from the same species around.

(I have several gravid females but no spawn/eggs ever detected)

Also, a really gravid female will have very strong green tint -- you will have no doubts about it.

well i just looked at that link, and i would say that if yours has got eggs, its very early to tell, because yours has a tinge of green but not as much green as the ones in the other pics, wait a few more weeks and if the stomach turns a darker green, i would recomend separating the female to her own tank, just for her to lay the eggs, then pop her back in the other tank.

if the khuli lays the eggs, your other fish will eventualy eat the eggs.

im no expert on khuli's but thats what i would do :)

Wow those are some fat khulis!!!!! Thanks guys for all your help. :D
