Chubby Pleco

just got this pleco and noticed he isn’t too quick in noticing the hikari wafers coming down from the top, so not much is left when the clown loach‘s and barbs have finished. How do I make sure he will be getting some food? He just loves sitting on his log vacuuming away

which type of Pleco do you have?
You might drop in the wafer after the lights are out at night. They come out more at night.
If he's chubby, maybe he gets enough algae to eat and driftwood to gnaw on.

I had never heard of Chubby Pleco. From what I read , they're ominvores so they eat all types of food. You could try shrimp pellets or Bug Bites. Also supplement with blanched zucchini weighed down with a fork or similar.

yep, gonna try some zucchini tomorrow, hopefully he/she will be all over it like a rash

Be sure to blanch the zuchinni to soften it a bit.

The pleco might be chubby because it's a female I know for clown plecos it works that way.
