One of how it looked to begin with

All comments welcomed

looks great. but be aware that those angels will eventually gobble up your neons (and not just *maybe* eat them..they will). just something to think about.
but looks really nice!
cheers

That's not always true. If the tetras are put in there while the angels are young (like in this case), then they tend to ignore them.

I wouldnt risk it personally, i used to feed young guppies to my angels, too many fry, and they were just like yours, the guppies were the same size as neons, some bigger one angel has a guppy tail sticking out of its mouth and neons are just too nice to be angel food. di

Looks fantastic mate.

Can I ask what the filtration and aeration is like in this tank? Its just I am very keen to get an 850; plenty of room for fish?

Thanks for any answers you can give me mate :good: Keep up your good work!

Nice tank, what kind of substance is that it looks like little salt pellets you get to throw down outside in the winter.

Oh yea those are way smaller. I was just going off of my experience.

Thx for the +ve comments  It's my first tank - a gift from my mrs for my 40th.

It holds 165 Litres and the filter flows 1000 l/hr. Surface area is 3696 cm[sup]3[/sup] whcih allows good gas exchange. Just about to play around with some CO[sup]2[/sup]

I'm looking to add another pleco and maybe another couple. So as long as the angels don't eat the tetras  I reckon that'll do for me. I did pick a larger species of tetra that will hopefully survive...

Filter changing and maintenance is a nice clean job. Now looking to replace carbon filters as manufacturer says time is up. Not sure what to replace with as most don't like carbon except for removing meds. Any Aqua One owners got any suggestions?

Substrate was just called 'Alpine gravel' Sometimes its white but the algae seems to enjoy it more than me. Needs a good clean really

You could also try Rummynose Tetras or Cardinal Tetras if you really want to be on the safe side. Harlequin Rasboras are also a good schooling fish that should not end up in the mouths of the Angels.

Yay - the rasboras are doing well but are quite wary of the angels already - maybe they know something!

I forgot that you already had some of them. You angels are relatively small and the rasboras were introduced then so in the future they won't be regarded as food since they were never thought of that way in the first place.

Just had a shuffle round and the fish seem to like it!
