Hello,

I bought a Biord 60L 2mths ago(wow bad move I know). Purchased to see if the family would like tropical fish unfortunatly only I was hooked. I love it even althought it is a glorified goldfish bowl. I will keep it as a hospital tank was looking to upgrade to the Jewel 260 vision , anybody have any thoughts if this is a good tank. Looking to keep silver sharks, Red tail sharks, Barbs ect. Have got usual 4 Neons(one just died on me got into the filter tube ) Swordtail and three Gouramis in the biorb Think it is to small for the three as they seem to fight to much. I belive very terirorial.

Any Ideas appreciated thank you.

The Vision 260 is a lovely tank but is two small for Silver sharks and you can only keep one RTBS in a tank.
The gouramis may be ok but 4' might not be big enough for all three as it sounds like you have more than one male -What species are they?
The swordtail should get too big for the Biorb as well.

You could either keep the Biorb for small fish - it is ok for a dozen neons and stick with slightly larger fish for the new tank or get rid of the biorb altogrther. It is not suitable as aQT tank as you can't premature a filter for it.

Thats a good size tank (same size as mine :hey: ) but read up on what you want to stock it with.
Red tail sharks = You can only have one of these in a tank
Silver sharks = I assume you mean Bala shark , your just on the limit with the size of your tank to keep these as the grow to 10" + and need to be kept in groups

Read up here on what fish you are interested in.

Good luck

Thanks for the replys

They are Red dwarf Gouramis not sure how to tell but I belive they are all male. Seem pretty vicious to each other. A bit dissapointed that the Biorb is no good as a hospital tank I thought it would be okay. It really is Glorified goldfish bowl.

Thanks again

Get the biggest you can afford!!!

I bought a small tank then wanted to keep fish that out grew it.

So now I bought a 2 metre.
Can keep most things now B)
